The Opportunity Plan staff strives to make the repayment process as easy and flexible as possible for its borrowers. The most important criteria is an open line of communication between the borrower and the Opportunity Plan staff. Any time a situation arises which will affect a student's ability to make a scheduled payment, he or she is encouraged to call a staff member so that the situation can be resolved.

We realize that unforeseen events occur which can affect the repayment of a borrower.s student loan. Borrowers can submit a deferment request form to postpone payments for a period of time until the situation is resolved. Deferment requests are handled on a case-by-case basis by the student loan committee.
